3. Run a responsible and viable consulting practice.

My core values in practice

I deeply respect the unique journey of each person with whom I work.

I am committed to creating clear expectations with clients and delivering accordingly.

I commit to lifelong growth as an agile leader as I work to help others become agile leaders, too.

Organizational experience that I've had the privilege to be share with many wonderful colleagues.

In July of 2013 I launched this consultancy and have since supported biotech companies including Prolong, Dyax and Sanofi, a number of universities including Indiana University, New York University and Penn State University as an Associate with MOR Associates of Watertown, MA, and a few clients in other sectors. Prior to that I played a series of organizational effectiveness roles from 2004 - 2012 in the biotech divisions of Wyeth and Pfizer where I supported senior teams' performance; included were substantial engagements in balanced scorecard, lean manufacturing and employee engagement initiatives. Before biotech I served on staff at MIT in both organizational development and human resources roles that included change management support for one of the first SAP implementations in higher ed and the development and deployment of a competency-based human resources strategy. Prior to MIT I began my management and organizational development practice at Harvard back in 1985 where I developed training, management development curricula and consulted to Harvard's schools and departments. My earliest career chapter also focused on human performance, but in health and athletics. I practiced as an athletic trainer and conditioning coach, a wellness instructor and a wellness program manager at Harvard, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Massachusetts and Berkshire School in western Massachusetts where I grew up.

Some formal training and credentials.

I earned my EdM at Harvard specializing in Counseling and Consulting Psychology and received my undergraduate BS in Education at the University of Connecticut.

Here is some additional parts of my story.

I have lived and worked overseas on two occasions including a six month fellowship serving the organizational development needs of the International AIDS Society in Geneva, Switzerland (2012, as a Pfizer Global Health Fellow in Entrepreneurship). In 2003 I received MIT's 'Infinite Mile' award for committed client service. Beginning from the time of my Master's work in 1988 I have been a lifelong student, through formal and self study, of how our journey along the stages of adult development translates to the developmental stages of our leadership, and thereby how we can improve the quality of leadership in our lives and world today. I use the term 'agile leadership' in pursuing that potential today, adopting both in deference to the groundbreaking work of Bill Joiner and Stephen Josephs in mapping this territory and in recognition that there work forms the platform for mine.
